Matthew graduated with his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Cloud State University in 2022. Originally from Iowa and Southwest Minnesota, he has worked as an advocate for rights and better mental health treatment for women, survivors of abuse, minority populations, and the LGBTQ+ Community. Matthew operates from a Person-Centered lens and believes effective therapy comes when a person can be themselves and not confined to a more clinical setting. He is versed in trauma backgrounds, anxiety, depression, relational distress, self-esteem & independence building, family systems, and LGBTQ+ issues. His focus outside of the office is to continually build professionally and to spread mental health awareness and acceptance throughout Minnesota. Matthew can be found at a variety of community events representing both WeCare and the Bisexual Organizing Project (BOP) of which he is an At-Large Regional Director on their board of directors
